Protect Your Finances with Strong Passwords

"ABC, it's easy as 1-2-3," aren't just lyrics from an old Michael Jackson tune. ABC and 123 are among the most common – and most easily guessed – passwords.

Here are some tips for creating strong passwords that can help prevent hackers from stealing your personal and financial information.

Do use long passwords (10 characters or more) with a mix of letters, numbers, punctuation and symbols.

Do
create a unique password for each account.

Don't use easily guessed information, such as your birth date, street address, the names of children or pets, or sensitive information such as your Social Security number.

Don't use common passwords, such as abc123 or "password."

Do. Misspelling is also a good tactic.

Strong passwords are well worth the extra security they provide.
