This Winter
As the weather gets cooler and colds and flu become more common, it's important to do everything we can to stay healthy. Read on for a list of easy things you can do to help keep yourself healthy.
- Wash your hands thoroughly and often.
- Exercise regularly. It generates endorphins that strengthen your immune system.
- Get enough sleep. Aim for at least seven hours a night.
- Eat your veggies. Try to eat five to nine servings of fruits and vegetables each day.
- Check your stress levels. Try to keep stress at bay, as long-term stress can suppress your immune system.
- Ask your doctor whether you should take a multi-vitamin. It may help ensure your body is getting the vitamins it needs.
- Sand your slippery walkways to help avoid slips and falls.
- Drink plenty of water.
