Director Candidate Profiles


The following candidates are seeking a seat on Chaco Credit Unions Board of Directors.

Walker Brandenburg

Walker, a self-employed accountant, is seeking to serve his first term on the Board of Directors. He is employed by the Butler County Sheriff's Office and has worked in the governmental nonprofit industry. He is married and the father of five. Walker has been a Hamilton resident for 46 years and a Chaco member for 19 years.



Linda Getz

Linda is serving her second term as a Chaco Board Member. She has served on the Governance Committee, and is currently Historian and Audit Committee member. She is a retired public relations consultant from the Procter & Gamble Company and serves as a volunteer for many organizations in Hamilton, Ohio, and Butler County. Linda says, "Chaco embodies everything that excites me about credit unions – partnership, collaboration and passion about making a difference in members' lives." She has been a Chaco member for
23 years.

Jeff Kenworthy

Jeff has been a member of the Board of Directors since 2002, currently serving as Vice-Chair. He works as a Realtor® for Sibcy Cline and is a part-time district captain for the Fairfield Fire Department. Jeff states, "I believe with my business experience, I can help Chaco continue to focus on important issues and continue to grow in the right direction." He has been a Chaco member for
17 years.


James Lynch

James is seeking his first term to serve on the Board of Directors. James is a retired Marine and has served on the Board of the Grand Terrace Chamber of Commerce and the Board of Trustees for the Evergreen Masonic Board of Trustees. During his time on the Board, he was able to assist with bringing the organization to a mortgage-free status with a positive account balance with $2 million plus. James says, "It would be a pleasure to work on the Board of Directors for Chaco and to be a part of Chaco's continued growth and service to its members on a personal level." James has been a member of Chaco for eight years.

Joan Scanlon

Joan is seeking to serve her first term on the Chaco Board of Directors. Joan is a retired medical professional with experience in administration, insurance and consulting. Currently, she teaches three fitness classes per week. Joan states, "I have always preferred credit unions over banks. During my term, I would encourage community involvement projects such as recycling and neighborhood cleanups." Joan has been a part of Chaco's membership for three years.

Frank Siefer

Frank has been a Board Member for over seven years. He is a retired consumer finance manager and has served as a volunteer for Chaco in many capacities, currently serving as Vice Chairman. Frank says, "I wish to continue serving as a volunteer on the Board so I may help Chaco advance existing programs and future programs that will improve the credit union philosophy of People Helping People." He has been a member of Chaco for 16 years.

Charles Southall

Charles is seeking to serve on the Board of Directors for the first time. Although retired, he is currently employed by AT&T as a distributor. Charles has served as a Board Member for Cincinnati Credit Union and is the former mayor of Lincoln Heights, Ohio. "I would like to serve on the Board to improve the credit union. I also enjoy helping people," says Charles. Charles has been a member of Chaco Credit Union for one year.


Gordon Stout

Gordon is retired from the coated paper industry. He has experience in management and served as a committee member of the Coating Process Committee. He also authored a chapter of the Tappi pressbook, The Coating Process. He has served as a Chairman and Council member of the Basestock Committee and C&GA Division, respectively. Gordon states, "I would like to see more emphasis on savings plans for young members." He has been a member for 45 years.

A ballot and return envelope were included with your December 2007 statement.
