Resolve to Save More

Have you heard the saying, "It's not how much you make, it's how much you keep"? Saving money is one of the best gifts you can give yourself for a comfortable financial future. Not only can building up savings give you the power to pay cash and avoid debt now, it can help you to fulfill dreams such as a secure retirement later. Even a little bit each paycheck or month can add up to big savings down the road.

Strengthen Your Savings

Finding money to save isn’t always easy, but here are a few tips to get started:

Be aware of prices when shopping. Buying store brands, using coupons, and waiting for sales can make a difference.

Deposit all or part of bonuses, raises, and tax refunds. If it's money you didn't expect or need, it's a perfect way to give your savings a boost.

Sell items you no longer use and clothing you don't wear. If you have appliances, furniture, or clothes in good condition, consider having a yard sale, selling them online with a reputable site, or using a consignment shop.
