Common Scams

A year-long study released by the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) in October 2007 concluded that 30.2 million consumers – 13.5% of U.S. adults – found themselves victims of fraud. By using common sense and staying informed, you can help protect yourself from scams.

How to Protect Yourself
Never share your personal information over the phone, online or in person, unless you initiated contact and know the phone number or website is valid.

Stay on top of the latest scams by visiting government websites, such as the Federal Bureau of Investigation at www.fbi.gov, their Internet fraud site www.ic3.gov and the FTC at www.ftc.gov.*

Check your credit union and credit card statements regularly, and keep an eye on your credit report. If you notice any irregularities, report them right away.

If you suspect fraud has occurred on any of your Endura Financial accounts, contact our Telephone Service Center at 612-951-1500 or 1-800-533-4004 immediately.
