81st Annual Meeting and Board of Directors Election

All members are invited to attend the Credit Union's 81st Annual Meeting.

When: 5 p.m., April 7, 2009
Where:  820 North Lilac Drive
Minneapolis, MN

Nomination by Petition
The Credit Union bylaws allow nominations for positions on the 2009 election ballot to be made by petition. You will need to complete the following steps by Feb. 9, 2009, to become a candidate.

  • Submit a petition signed by 1% of the Credit Union's membership (250 members).
  • Submit a brief statement of qualifications and biographical information.
  • Submit a signed certificate stating that you are agreeable to the nomination and will serve if elected to office.

Announcing Election Results
Election results will be announced at the Credit Union's 81st Annual Meeting on April 7, 2009. An official election will not be conducted by ballot in 2009 as long as there remains only one nominee for each position to be filled and no additional candidate is nominated by petition.

Board of Directors – Candidate Information

The following three candidates have applied for the three open positions on the Credit Union's Board of Directors. Each position is a three-year term.

Pat Quilty (Incumbent) Pat has worked for Honeywell for more than 26 years, serving in leadership capacities for Honeywell businesses in the United States and Europe. He is currently Vice President/General Manager of Combustion in Minneapolis. Pat brings a wealth of experience in sales and marketing.

Pat is the immediate past president of the Board of Directors and Executive Committee of the Gas Appliance Manufacturers Association, the largest trade association in its industry. He has been a member of EFFCU for 13 years.

Tom Seuntjens (Incumbent) Tom retired from Honeywell with 33 years of executive management experience in finance, administration and human resources. He is currently Managing Director of Seuntjens Associates LLP, a risk management and health care consulting firm.

Tom is the past Chair of the Taxpayer Advocate Panel (appointed by the U.S. Treasury). He is also a City Council and Planning Commission member for the city of Minnetonka Beach, MN. He has been an EFFCU member for more than 35 years.

Doug Young (Incumbent) Doug has been the President/ CEO of Endura Financial Federal Credit Union for more than 20 years. He brings a wide range of experience in all aspects of Credit Union leadership including operations, finance, sales and marketing.

Doug is a member of the Credit Union Executives Society and actively participates in the National Credit Union Administration and the Credit Union National Association. He is committed to building lifelong partnerships with Credit Union members by providing superior products and extraordinary service.
