Great choices for a rideshare include friends, fellow students or co-workers. Then split the cost of gas. Plan in advance – If driving is not an option, make sure you book your flight well in advance. Last-minute tickets are expensive, so buying early can save you a lot of money. Shop different sites like www.cheapflights.com* or www.bookingbuddy.com* to compare flight prices and land your best deal. Then pack light so you don't have to pay for a checked bag. Take it to the couch – Opt to crash on the couch rather than stay in a hotel. You'll save money and get to spend more time with your family. By planning ahead, you may be able to save money this holiday season.
