MAFCU President and CEO Rick Wieczorek receives a membership plaque from Bethesda Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce Chairman-elect Patrick O’Neil at the Bethesda Branch Ribbon Cutting Ceremony.

Vice President of Community Relations Michael Richardson poses in front of the Bank On Gaithersburg banner at the Celebrate Gaithersburg in Old Town event.

This past fall was a very busy season for MAFCU. In September, we marked the opening of our new Bethesda Branch with a Ribbon Cutting Ceremony for local government officials and business owners. The Bethesda Chevy Chase Chamber of Commerce presented MAFCU's President and CEO, Rick Wieczorek, with a plaque of membership. Representatives from Congressman Chris VanHollen's office and Senator Ben Cardin's office were also present. MAFCU also hosted a Grand Opening Event for members of the Bethesda community. Those who attended were given an instant prize for attending, as well as the opportunity to enter a drawing for a flat screen TV. Bruce Harrison was the lucky grand prize winner.

MAFCU employees participated in the Celebrate Gaithersburg in Old Town event. As part of the Bank On Gaithersburg initiative, MAFCU and other local financial institutions used the event to spread awareness to those in the Gaithersburg community who have not established a banking relationship. Later in the fall, MAFCU employees volunteered at the Bethesda Urban Partnership's 20th Annual Taste of Bethesda event.
