• Watch out for free trial offers of diet products including acai berry and colon cleanse. When you see a free trial offer, always read the fine print or terms and conditions. Many offers enroll you in a large-dollar ongoing purchase program that could be extremely hard to cancel.
  
  
• NEVER give your 3-digit Security Code from the back of your card to anyone calling you claiming he or she is from the Security and Fraud Department at Visa or Mastercard. Visa and Mastercard issued you this number – they will never call asking you for it. Also be careful for e-mails from anyone asking you to verify your card number.
